The MFD is a full service community resource staffed by professional highly dedicated men and women that strive to serve the citizens of the City of Mansfield by providing responsive and caring service to protect and improve their quality of life.
The Mansfield Fire Department was established in 1847. It now provides fire protection for the City of Mansfield and surrounding areas as needed. The department has 10 paid staff including the Chief, 1 Captain and 1 Lieutenant with 7 Fire Fighters. The department maintains 2 Fire Stations with 3 Pumpers, 1 Rescue Truck and 1 Brush Truck.
The Department has a PIAL rating of “4”.
