Building Permits
Why do I need a permit?
Building Permits are an enforcement of the Mansfield Municipal Code and are mandated by
state's Uniform Construction Code (UCC). The City has an official who performs building inspections
and two others who perform electrical and plumbing inspections.

The City’s goal of requiring permits is to become a partner with the community to achieve a safe, quality environment in which to live and work.
*Plumbing and Electrical Permits must be purchased at City Hall by a licensed plumber or electrician.
