On Saturday, December 8...

On Saturday, December 8, the City of Mansfield will be the location of many community activities. The Annual Mansfield Alive! Christmas Festival will begin at 11:00 a.m. with music and vendors in a new location, PlayLand Park. The Christmas Parade will commence at 2:00 p.m., at the Mansfield City Hall (705 Polk Street).

For parade entries, the parade lineup area will start at Mansfield City Hall Parking Lot, going north on Candy Cane Lane to Franklin Street. The lineup will continue west on Franklin Street to Jefferson Street. At Jefferson Street, the line will turn left, going south to Texas Street. At Texas Street, the line will turn left going east, continuing on to Van Buren Street.

For parade goers, the parade route will start on the parking lot of Mansfield City Hall. The parade will proceed west on Polk Street to Washington Avenue. At this intersection, the parade will turn and go south to McEnery Street, where it will again turn, going west across Hwy 171 onto Kings Highway. The parade will continue around to Mansfield High School where it will enter the first gate and go to the big parking lot in front of the school’s auditorium to disband.

Police chiefs will serve as the grand marshal for the parade.
